Slanting pipe is able to decrease the area space of precipitating tank and increasing the settling speed also.
Drawing A is a H-depth precipitator, particle on the surface water through distance H into the bottom of precipitator, however a same size precipitator as drawing B, which set up a plate in the precipitator, the particle on the surface water moves into the bottom tank, it takes distance h/H of tank A only.
In other words, the hatch of drawing B can take into as a settling tank, which surface area is increased to h/H times of drawing A. of course, the treated capacity and/or efficient is the same the value, H/h of slanting pipe, is 5. It is same as the conventional continuous precipitator.
