Leica offer a wide range of mobile measuring systems specifically for industrial applications. They are used particularly in aeronautical construction, in the automotive and rail industries, in shipbuilding and in general mechanical engineering. Even large tooling systems and jigs, ring accelerators and robots can be inspected. These systems simplify quality control and the monitoring of processes. Triangulation measuring systems: These mobile, non-contact 3D measuring systems are for the manual optical acquisition and evaluation of point coordinates. The T2002 and T3000 Theodolites have the function of sensors; up to eight Theodolites can be used together in a variable configuration. All data is presented in real time and can be quantitatively expressed right away as information about status or deformation. Typical accuracies are better than 0.1mm at 20 metres. Polar system: The polar coordinate measuring system requires only one operator. It consists of computer software and a TC2002 precision total station, and represents an attractively priced system with precision in the sub-millimetre range. Prisms or reflector tapes are used to determine distances. DL2 and targets: The illumination and marking of targets is important for their observation. The DL2 diode laser eyepiece marks points for remote measurement. A range of targets of various types and designs is available for special applications.
