BC-NET is a network of business counselors, who assist SMEs with well defined services in their search for cross-border co-operation, handling both confidential and non-confidential business opportunities. BC-NET was created by the European Commission (Directorate General XXIII) in 1988 and is present in approximately 40 countries. The BC-NET members are either private or public organizations (regional development agencies, chambers of commerce, banks, consultants, etc.). BC-NET members carry out the following tasks: Analyze and evaluate your company's potential before drawing up a co-operation profile. Draw up a comprehensive co-operation profile, in which they indicate the level of service provided, and send it back to the central database. Reply to any information request from another BC-NET member regarding one of their co-operation profiles and use their personal contacts to help SMEs. Follow-up the implementation of the co-operation agreement. BC-net members feed and interrogate a state-of-the-art database, operated by the European Commission.
Features
  • 6 steps to find the right business partner
  • You realize that you need a business partner: to find the right partner in the right country, you need assistance and advice
  • You contact a member of the BC-net network: the BC-NET help desk in the European Commission will provide you with their contact details
  • You analyze your co-operation requirement with the assistance of the BC-NET member: the BC-NET member helps you to evaluate your company's potential (financial, human) and to fill in a co-operation profile. If required, complete confidentiality will be guaranteed throughout the entire procedure
  • The BC-NET member interacts with the central co-operation database: the BC-NET member sends your co-operation profile to the European Commission's co-operation database, and searches the database to identify other profiles corresponding to your request
  • The BC-NET member identifies appropriate co-operation opportunities: the BC-net member will then evaluate opportunities, possibly discuss them with other members of the network, and present the promising profiles to you
  • The BC-NET member initiates the negotiation process: once you have selected the opportunities in which you are most interested, the BC-NET member will establish contact with potential partners. Most members offer additional services to help you to reach a successful agreement with your future co-operation partner
