"The Supernormal" is a 90minute 35mm feature film for cinema. It was the first feature film to be made by Chinese director Lo Ting Kit and was shot on location in provinces of mainland China , Macao, Taiwan and Hong Kong. The production company was Mandarin Films. The film is an investigation into the background and reality of current Asian spiritual beliefs in the supernatural. It is an unusual film for the region because it combines both drama and documentary style in its presentation. In the year it released, it was the top grossing feature film on the domestic circuit for the two months it was in the cinemas. By the end of that year, it had become the fourth top selling video in domestic sales.
