The PCB manufacturing is used to support and connect components making use of conductive pathways, tracks or signal traces etched from copper sheets laminated onto the non-conductive substrate. This is the place to mount the components and provide the means of electrical connection between the parts. It means that components are fastened in position by drilling holes through the board which locates the parts and then soldering them in place. The copper track links the components together forming the circuit.
