Highly-integrated Green-mode PWM Controller

Product ID: SG6841

Send Inquiry
The SG6841 provides several special enhancements that satisfy the increased need for low-standby power compatible controllers with stronger protection functions. In standby mode, the PWM frequency is linearly reduced to cut power consumption, while supplying a stable output voltage.
The BiCMOS fabrication process enables reduction of the start-up current down to 30uA, and the operating current down to 3mA. The advantage of this is improved power conversion efficiency. During normal operation, it acts as a fixed frequency PWM controller. The SG6841's PWM frequency can be easily configured by changing an external resistor. Under reduced- load conditions, its patented Green-mode function will decrease the PWM frequency. This Green-mode function dramatically reduces power usage under zero-load and light-load conditions.
Proprietary Synchronized Slope Compensation ensures the stability of the current loop under continuous-mode operation. Built-in line-voltage compensation maintains a constant output power limit supporting a wide range of AC input.
