Chemical Name:Poly-tert-Butylphenoldisulfide
CAS No.:60303-68-6
Molecular formula:(C10H14O)x▪(Cl2S2)y
Appearance:Yellow to reddish granules
Sulfur content,%:29.5-31.5
Softening Point,℃:95-115
TB7 is the sulfur donor for natural and synthetic rubbers. It produces a high percentage of mono-sulfidic crosslinks that results in vulcanizates with superior aging characteristics. It can be used as either complete or partial replacements for sulfur and thiuram and DTDM sulfur donors in EV and semi-EV type cure systems. In tires TB7 serials are used in the innerliner, chafer, bead apex, sidewalls, and tread.
Polymers: Natural rubber and synthetic elastomers. Especially good in curing rubber that contains chlorine such as chlorobutyl and polychloroprene.
