HOCHIMINH - CU CHI TOUR (3days - 2 nights)
Day 1: D
Arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport, meet & transfer to hotel for check-in. Evening transfer local restaurant for dinner.
Day 2: B, L, D
After breakfast, we will proceed to Cu Chi Tunnel Village and underground tunnels to experience the famous Vietnam War (1965 - 1975). The system that lies 75km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City centre is where the Vietcong have lived and fought against the enemies. You will also get to see part of intricate network of underground tunnels, kitchens, food storage bunkers, medical centre, barracks and other military posts built by Vietcong. Return to Saigon for lunch. After lunch visit: Notre Dame Cathedral - built between 1877 & 1883, it has a neo-Romanesque form and two 40m-high square towers, tipped with iron spire, that dominate the city's skyline. In front of the cathedral is a statue of the Virgin Mary. Main Post Office - Saigon's French-style main post office, the structure was built between 1886 & 1891 and is by far the largest post office in Vietnam. City Theater - It was built in 1899 for use as a theatre, but later served as heavily fortified home of the South Vietnamese National Assembly. War Museum - where American tanks, infantry weapons, photographs of war atrocities committed to by the Americans and Chinese are in display here. History Museum - a find collect on of sculpture, pottery and other artifacts from all major historical periods from the Bronze Age Dong Son civilization through the Funan, Chenla, Khmer and Cham periods to the various Vietnamese dynastic eras. You will also enjoy the famous Water Puppet Show here Lacquer ware factory - to see for yourself how lacquer ware, that can be used for decoration is being made out of mother-of-inlaid and egg shells.
